I wonder how much of this goes back to TARP. There were a lot of GOPers who didn't want to vote for that, but with a GOP administration, and with a presidential election to win, W got enough R's to sign off on it, to avoid a financial crisis (or to avoid a greater financial crisis then what ultimately occured)*. Maybe now the new teabag Congress of John Birchers wants a real momumental crisis to occur.

*10% unemployment does not constitute a crisis for many Democrats, let alone for teabag Repubs who want to eliminate Pell Grants as "welfare".

It appears that the Tea Party Caucus answers not to Boehner but rather the Joker. And the joke is on us for electing them to office.
